Imagine Photography has been in business for over 15 years and I've been apart of that journey. I worked for owner of Imagine Photography, Kea Taylor as an full time intern in high school back in 2009 and graduated in 2010. Ever since, she became one of my true mentors. After high school, I gained more photography experience by working for her time to time when she needed me while I was at a Montgomery College. After transferring from a community college to an university in 2014, during the time, Kea Taylor called me for a temporary photo editor position. After leaving UMBC for complicated reasons, I called my mentor back asking her if that job was still available. In Fall/Winter of 2014 working for her on U Street in Washington, DC at the time, our friendship and bond had reunited to the point, she promoted me to become her official Creative Assistant (Photo Editor, Designer, Marketing/Branding). Kea Taylor's dreams and goals is to expand Imagine Photography to the next level and she is doing well accomplishing it. I was helping her structuring the business to make workflow easier for us to our clients and using my creative skills to for photo and design projects. Using administrative duties, research tasks, and project tasks/goals in studio work space. I also used marketing strategies and ideas to connect with our audience and staying relevant on social media. But most importantly, I played a big part as a daily photo editor and designer for the photography assignments and delivering images to her clients. I have great customer service skills and set goals of the highest standards with the jobs I’ve worked with in the past; and still presently do so as well. My resolve to ensure that customers are met with beyond satisfactory work ethic, salesmanship and service are things I pride myself upon.
I am excited about Imagine Photography's journey and very thankful for Kea Taylor allowing me to expand my portfolio as an photo editor and designer. Kea Taylor is happy for my future adventures and reach out to me when needed. Now I have moved on to other types of positions and fields, while continuing to pursue and explore my lane as an freelancer, graphic designer, photographer, singer/songwriter, inspiring businesswoman and just becoming a full rounded artist.
